Shop Arlington First is a gift certificate program that supports the local businesses that support the Arlington community. An initiative of the Arlington Chamber of Commerce, Shop Arlington First promotes Arlington commerce. What denominations do they come in?
Shop Arlington First certificates are available in three denominations: $10 and $25.

Where can I buy them?
You can buy Shop Arlington First Gift Certificates at the following locations:

• East Arlington: Leader Bank (Mon–Wed: 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM; Thur - Fri: 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM; Saturday: 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM)
• Arlington Center: Leader Bank (Mon–Wed: 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM; Thur - Fri: 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM; Saturday: 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM)
• Arlington Heights: Wanamaker Hardware (Mon-Fri: 7:30-6:00 PM; Sat: 8:00 to 5:00PM; Sun: 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM), or

Do they make good gifts?
Absolutely! When you give a Shop Arlington First gift certificate, you are giving the gift of choice. Your gift certificates are enclosed in an attractive Shop Arlington First gift folder with an insert listing participating businesses. Teachers, coaches, students and senior citizens love choosing where to spend them and on what, whether it’s for a splurge, a night out, entertainment, a snack or a trinket. Thank a teacher or a coach for helping your child. Treat your child, your grandchild, your niece or nephew, the babysitter. Give them as birthday gifts. Indulge your parents or grandparents. How does it work?
Simply present your gift certificate(s) to a participating store, restaurant or business when you make your purchase of merchandise or a service. The face value of the certificate must be within $10 of the purchase price. You will then receive any change that is due to you.

Do they expire or incur a charge for holding on to them?
As with all gift certificates in Massachusetts, Shop Arlington First Gift Certificates are valid for seven years from date of purchase. Unlike some gift cards, Shop Arlington First doesn’t assess a finance charge.
